About Rawaha

Rawaha is an Arabic word that represents fragrance, comfort, ease, and tranquility. True to its meaning, Rawaha Fragrances is a brand built around calm confidence and uncompromising quality. While it began with perfume, Rawaha is designed to grow far beyond it.

Officially established in 2019, Rawaha’s roots trace back decades earlier, grounded in generational knowledge, disciplined training, and a clear belief in doing perfumery the right way.

The Founders

Uzair Punjani has studied fashion designing & Part EMBA from KASBIT. From the beginning, he carried a strong interest in product, aesthetics, formulation, and detailing. His creative inclination naturally placed him at the center of fragrance development and brand direction.

Faraz Punjani, a Computer Science graduate from IBA, played an active role during Rawaha’s early years. While he is no longer involved in daily operations, he remains closely linked to the brand. Currently based in Saudi Arabia, he is part of Rawaha’s future plans as the brand prepares to establish its Saudi chapter.

Junaid Punjani is a qualified ICMA and leads Rawaha’s management, operations, and financial structure. His role ensures that the brand functions with discipline, clarity, and long-term sustainability.

What truly distinguishes Rawaha is not passion alone, but founders working within their strongest domains. Creativity and management are not competing forces here; they reinforce each other.

Where It Truly Began

Rawaha was founded in 2019 by Uzair Punjani along with his younger brothers, Faraz Punjani and Junaid Punjani. However, its foundation goes back to the 1970s.

Haji Habib had been running a perfume shop since 1972 on the main Marriott road named “Haji Habib Haji Usman Attar Walay”. In 2013, Uzair acquired their shop and, under the direct mentorship of Haji Habib, learned perfumery from the ground up. Although Junaid was completing his studies at the time, his passion for fragrances allowed him to participate in this perfumery training whenever possible.

This training included fragrance formulation, sourcing, understanding raw material grades, longevity, stability, and the long-term effects of perfume oils on the human body. They learned what existed in the market and what was being compromised.

This exposure revealed a serious issue. Most perfumes in the local market were being made using low-grade attar oils. These oils were cheaper, unstable, and often harmful when used for prolonged periods.

Rawaha was born from a refusal to accept that standard.

A Decision That Defined Rawaha

Rawaha deliberately chose complexity over convenience.

Choosing top-grade perfume materials was not the easiest option. Lower-grade oils would have reduced costs and increased margins. But they also degraded over time, posing health risks.

The founders believed that making money by selling compromised products was not worth it. They wanted to create perfumes they could stand behind, use themselves, and confidently offer to others.

This belief still defines Rawaha today.

A Conversation That Changed Everything

Rawaha did not begin in a boardroom.

A simple, honest conversation with their mother in a kitchen became the moral checkpoint that turned years of learning into action. It was a moment that clarified intent, responsibility, and purpose.

What began as a conversation grew into a nationwide brand offering over 350 fragrances, 6 custom candles, and more than 12 premium attars, delivered across Pakistan and to customers around the world.

Migration story of Rawaha

In 2019, the brand began quietly in Bottle Gali, operating from the backyard of a shop. Due to organic growth and an increase in demand. In 2020, Rawaha moved to Amma Tower. Shortly after, the COVID pandemic forced Amma Tower to shut down.

Instead of stopping, Rawaha adapted.

During this period, the founders began importing their own raw materials and worked from home for nearly a year. This decision laid the groundwork for long-term quality control and independence.

In 2021, Rawaha moved to Maryam Complex and introduced Pakistan’s first perfume studio concept. The response was immediate and strong.

In 2024, Rawaha expanded further with a state-of-the-art French-style boutique in Mohammad Ali Society. Designed to reflect the European fragrance experience, customers are free to explore, spray, and experience perfumes without limitation.

Today, both locations operate alongside centralized production and delivery capabilities in Bahadurabad.

What Makes Rawaha Special

Every fragrance is made using top-grade international perfume materials imported directly by Rawaha. These are the same grades used in original international fragrances. The brand uses perfumer-grade, plant-based, halal ethanol to ensure safety, purity, and performance.

Rawaha serves a refined audience. Its customers include executives, directors, entrepreneurs, and individuals with a deep understanding of fragrance and quality.

Recognition and Trust

Rawaha was invited as the Guest of Honour at Consumer Expo 2025, where Uzair Punjani was presented with the award in an official capacity.

Rawaha had the privilege to be the first brand to participate with FPCCI in Makkah Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia. Co-founders Uzair Punjani and Junaid Punjani presented Rawaha souvenirs to the Secretary General of the Makkah Chamber in the presence of the Chairman FPCCI and Pakistan’s Consulate General to Saudi Arabia.

With over 50,000 customers worldwide, Rawaha serves both B2C and B2B clients. Corporate partners include Almas Tractor - leading tractor parts importer, Engro Pakistan - leading agriculture and fertilizer company, Intertek - world-class testing, inspection, certification provider, and Interloop International - one of the world’s largest hosiery manufacturers.

Rawaha Future Goals

Rawaha’s growth is intentional and measured.

The brand is actively working toward opening additional outlets across Pakistan, extending its studio and boutique experience to more cities while maintaining the same standards of quality and control.

At the same time, Rawaha is progressing toward international expansion, with Saudi Arabia as its first global chapter. With deep cultural relevance to fragrance and strong existing ties in the region, Saudi Arabia represents a natural next step in Rawaha’s journey.

Every expansion is guided by the same principle that built the brand: growth should never come at the cost of quality, integrity, or identity.
